CURSE OF CHUCKY

(2013)
Directed by: Don Mancini
Starring: Brad Dourif, Danielle Bisutti

Most who know me, know that I am a huge, huge horror movie fan.  I even love the ones that most consider to be pure shit.  My favorite - Michael Myers.  However, I do love Freddie, Jason, Chucky and all the other great slashers of our time.

Yes, I was looking forward to this film...for years.  I thought that with today's special effects, they could do some really cool things with this film...especially considering how long it was in production.

Too put it bluntly...this movie fucking sucked.  Avoid it.

HORROR MOVIE KILL OF THE DAY: 9/11/2013

BAD MILO!
(2013)

Today's kill comes from BAD MILO!  I just reviewed this film earlier today, so read that, and see it.  You will be extremely grateful to me for turning you on to it.

Ken's idiot co-worker Allistair, deletes something very important off Ken's computer, destroying over a year of work.  The stress is too much to handle, and Ken shits out little Milo.

Milo visits Allistair in the bathroom at the office...and there's not much left afterwards...

For more gore and even more kills...watch BAD MILO!

Don't forget...hit me up with any and all kills you would like to see more of!

BAD MILO!

BAD MILO!
(2013)
Directed by: Jacob Vaughan
Starring: Ken Marino, Gillian Jacobs, Patrick Warburton, Peter Stormare, Stephen Root

When my friend suggested we watch this film and told me what it was about...I had to find out more.  So she showed me the trailer.  Holy shit.  This movie wasn't made to be believable, or to win awards, or to set some high gore score.  It was made to be hillarious...and it works.

Milo is the little evil creature that comes out of Ken's ass whenever he's under extreme stress.  It then proceeds to kill whomever is the cause of that stress in extremely violent ways.  There's one scene that will make every guy that watches it squeeze their legs together in protection mode.

The laughs are non-fucking-stop.  Milo is awesome...I want one.  Though I'm quite certain that I would not be able to handle passing one through my bum.

Ken Marino is always hillarious, but Peter Stormare and Stephen Root are what sold me in the first place.  I am psychotic with love for Peter Stormare.

See this film.  It has both of my thumbs stuck in the up position.

WORLD WAR Z

WORLD WAR Z
(2013)
Directed by: Marc Forster
Starring: Brad Pitt, Mireilli Enos, Daniella Kertesz

I heard very mixed reviews prior to seeing this film.  I read the book many months ago, and was super curious how they would turn it into a film...much less a trilogy, as has been in talks.

I must say...I fucking loved this movie.  It was intense.  My attention never left.  When my friends and I sat down to watch it, it was already a couple hours past my bedtime and I didn't expect to make it through the entire movie.  I was wrong.

The acting...the action...the graphics...the gore....EVERYTHING about this movie is amazing....especially the zombies.  I have never seen zombies like these, and I have seen many, many zombie/outbreak films.  I feel that Marc Forster really gave the zombies some personality, despite the fact that they all have one huge thing in common...they're dead.

So, if you haven't seen it yet, and have been wondering whether or not to do so....DO IT.   It comes out on DVD this coming Tuesday...or you could do like I did and download it.  Haha.  I will still buy the dvd because I am a fan, and that is how I roll.

Unfortunately, this movie didn't do as well as it should have while in theatres.  I've read a few articles online that hint that the sequel is already in the works, but some other articles lead me to believe that a future for the WORLD WAR Z trilogy may not be certain.

Keep your fingers crossed, and see this film.

HORROR MOVIE KILL OF THE DAY: 9/9/2013

THE CRAZIES (remake)
2010
Directed by: Breck Eisner
Starring: Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson

This is a remake of the 1973 George Romero film, and I love it.  It is a very solid interpretation of the movie, and I am up for anything with Timothy Olyphant in it.

A plane crashes in a swamp outside the small Iowa town of Ogden Marsh, spilling an experimental chemical that the government was going to destroy.  It completely screws with the minds of the townfolk...turning them into THE CRAZIES.

The original took place in Pennsylvania, like the other Romero films.  This movie has awesome kills, thrills and conspiracies.  Watch it.  Then watch the original too.  Personally...I'll take the 2010 version any day.

In this scene...Timothy, handsome Timothy, Olyphant...playing Sheriff David...is attacked, and has a knife stabbed through his hand, pinning it to the floor.  Using his backup supply of badass, he rips his hand out of the floor, knife and all, and stabs it straight into his attackers throat.  It is tight as hell.

SHIT!!!!

If you have any suggestions, or want to see one of your favorite kills on here, hit me up...Chriswfw11@yahoo.com.  Do it to it.

Until next time...

HORROR MOVIE KILL OF THE DAY: 9/7/2013

Today's kill comes from FRIDAY the 13th PART 2!!!!
(1981)

Directed by: Steve Miner

It's been a few days since I've posted a H.M.K.O.T.D...and I apologize.  I've had a few things going on...but keep your eyes open...I am back.  Now, on to the good stuff...

Tom McBride plays Mark...a wheelchair bound nice guy.  I love this kill because it shows that Jason has no heart...he will straight KILL the handicapped.  Not only is Mark in a wheelchair, but he's on his way to get laid...talk about cock-blocked!

MACHETE TO THE FACE!...

Until next time, folks...

The Lords of Salem

Lords of Salem
(2012)
Directed by: Rob Zombie
Starring: Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Ken Foree, Jeffrey Daniel Phillips

I saw this movie the day it was released.  Around my neck of the woods here in NC, it was a very limited release.  I had been looking forward to this film for almost 2 years.  I followed it's production through Rob Zombie's various media sites, as well as horror staple BLOODYDISGUSTING.com.

I am a big fan on Rob Zombie.  His music...White Zombie and Rob....as well as his guitarist's JOHN 5's solo music.  Especially when John5 was playing with Marilyn Manson.  I am also a big fan of Mr. Zombie's movies.  Devil's Rejects is one of the greatest films of all time, with what may possibly be the GREATEST ending of all time.  It's first part, House of 1000 Corpeses was pretty great as well.

Most know I am a huge Halloween fan.  I was stoked when I found out RZ was taking a swing at the remake.  I felt the true director's cut of the film was pretty good.  The theatrical release...not so much.  But his remake of the sequel, HALLOWEEN II - I FUCKING LOVE IT.  I think it is amazing...truly.

So, all that being said, YES, I was very much looking forward to the release of The Lords of Salem.  When my girlfriend and I went to see it, I had trouble staying awake.  I thought the movie was trash.  Horrible.  Can I have my money back please?  I've posted several things online sharing my distaste.

WELL,.....it came onDemand today...so my lady and I watched it AGAIN.  Don't as me, because I don't know exactly what has changed, but I very much enjoyed the movie this time around.  It's actually great, and one of the best I have seen in a while.  I suggest that anyone who saw it once and hated it, make sure to watch it again.  Give it another chance.  I think you may see it the way I did, and change your mind.  Rob Zombie is headed in a direction that I feel will only promise us many more great films to come.

It has some of the coolest, truly disturbing satanic and evil ritualistic scenes I have ever seen.  There's one scene where the witches get burned alive....DAMN!!!  Keep and eye for it in the HORROR MOVIE KILL OF THE DAY's that will be coming up...

So...see The Lords of Salem, and really pay attention.  It's a very dark film...something many horror movies shoot for these days, but do not attain.
